Overall a great time and worth it, but I don't know that I will be going back anytime soon. I could not imagine spending time at any GWL during the Summer. These negative experiences were not something I will remember as they were minor, however, when providing a review I want to be honest with those things that made the experience less than a five star rating. I am all for a good drink in the evening, but when I pay a lot of money for my kids to go to GWL I expect some common courtesy. The parents were too busy drinking away with friends and family as opposed to parenting. The dancing in the lobby in the evening was fun for my girls, but the bedtime story was not worth it because the parents who had their kids there early and were in front were not encouraging their kids to sit down and be respectful, i.e. The advice that I took from a lot of reviews on tripadvisor was to make sure that you request a room that is not on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th floors because MagiQuest has activity on those floors until 11pm at night so you will get the teenage activity on those floors until then. The food can be expensive, but my wife and I circumvented that by bringing breakfast for each day we were there (weekend getaway with the kids). It is an upper for everything once you're there (Adventure Park, MagiQuest, arcades (obviously), mini-golf (another obvious charge). It is as pricey as all the reviews say it is. Overall my family had a great time at GWL-Colorado Springs.
